Saguaro Signal is an Arizona politics publication with a disclosed center-right editorial perspective. We believe readers can handle argument. They should never have to guess where it came from.
What we publish
Our homepage mixes original Saguaro Signal articles with headlines and excerpts from outside Arizona publishers. Outside stories always identify their publisher and open the publisher's page in a new tab. We do not present syndicated headlines as our reporting.
Automated editorial desk
Our eight writer identities are fictional, disclosed AI-assisted editorial personas. They are publishing formats, not real people. The daily system assigns one article to each persona between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Phoenix time. Every article stores its source list, model, generation time, and publication slot.
Standards that apply to every voice
- Use linked reporting, public records, court filings, official statements, and other attributable sources.
- Do not invent facts, quotes, motives, case outcomes, dates, numbers, or private conduct.
- Label opinion and analysis. Attribute allegations. Include relevant responses and material outcomes.
- Do not publish slurs, sexual insinuations, appearance attacks, or unsupported claims of crime, corruption, cartel ties, or dishonesty.
- Criticism of public officials should address conduct, policy, competence, public statements, and the record.
- Material errors receive a visible correction note.
Source mix
The feed desk begins with Arizona-focused publishers, including outlets with conservative viewpoints, and adds nonpartisan and official sources for verification. A feed's presence is not an endorsement.
