First copper mining operation in U.S. since 2008 officially launches in Florence

FLORENCE – Florence Copper celebrated the official launch of the first copper mining and production project in Arizona since 2008. Florence Mayor Keith Eaton was joined by Trekor Metals CEO and Florence Copper General Manager, as well as an EPA administrator. Eaton presented the mining company a key to the town.
