Trump may strip Mexican gray wolf protections prematurely, risks further endangerment
WASHINGTON – In his executive order to review the Mexican gray wolf’s endangerment status, President Donald Trump is bypassing federally required wolf population data that has not yet been met. Conservationists are concerned that removing Mexican wolf protections too soon will result in their population decline.
